Digicamcontrol Mac Os X
Sofortbild is a native macOS app for tethered shooting using Nikon DSLR cameras. The software allows you to control any supported Nikon DSLR camera remotely from your Mac via USB. Sofortbild transfers captured images instantly to your hard disk for review in full resolution and quality and further image processing. Supported models as of version 1.5 are: * D3 * D300/D300S * D3S/D3X * D4/D4S * D5 * D500 * D5000/D5100/D5200/D5300/D5500/D5600 * D600/D610 * D700 * D7000/D7100/D7200/D7500 * D750 * D800/D800E * D810/D810A * D850 * D90 * Df * Nikon 1 V3. Under the hood, this is a major new version of Sofortbild, built on a modern 64-bit foundation, using new libraries supplied by Nikon.
It adds support for all the latest Nikon DSLR camera model and the Nikon 1V3. It also supports macOS High Sierra, macOS Sierra and OS X El Capitan. On the downside, we can no longer support many older models, as Nikon no longer supplies libraries for those. Also, Sofortbild now requires OS X El Capitan or later, due to compatibility limitations of the Nikon libraries. We know there are issues with certain camera models under certain conditions. As we cannot possibly have and test all Nikon cameras, we decided to release this version now and try to further improve compatibility in upcoming releases. • 1.3 Dec 21, 2014.

PTJAC I am using a Macbook Pro Retina display with an Intel Core i7 processor, running OS X Yosemite, and tethering to a Nikon D90 camera. We use it to for product photography and it is very helpful, when it works. It allows you to choose what folder you would like the images to be stored in as you take the pictures and the display is perfect for what we use it for.
However, sometimes it will not connect with the camera, but lately the problem is that Sofortbild will close as soon as I snap the first picture and will not allow me to use it at all. Is there other troubleshooting I need to do in order to fix this besides restart it, completely shut down in safe mode, and restarting the application? Haroldus Magnus While this app is not working in El Capitan, it does run well in a virtual machine of an earlier OS, running inside El Capitan. I have VMware Fusion 8.1 with a Mountain Lion OS on a current MacBook Air - also gave it a successful try with Yosemite vm. One thing to keep in mind is to set the vm to use USB 2.0 (not 3.0) so it can connect with the camera. Problem solved and your main OS can be kept current.
Sofortbild is just too wonderful to live without. I fire the camera with an Apple Bluetooth Keyboard (Command-r) as I walk around the studio set-up, adjusting the subject and lighting without unneccasary trips back to the tripod.
